Be the One
One person’s decision and subsequent action impacts the lives of so many other persons. Recent events in our country attest to this truth. Various persons throughout history have impacted persons by simply daring to be different and to stand with God against the general flow of the time.
One such individual was Josiah, “Josiah was eight years when he became king. He did what was right in the Lord’s sight and followed in the footsteps of his forefather David, and turned not to the left or to the right.” Josiah’s impact in his sphere of influence was both personal and national.
The accounts further indicate that at specific times in his very youthful life 16 years and 26 years old respectively, Josiah sought the Lord. His seeking after GOD resulted in his obedience and application of God’s Law to life and his sphere of influence. His search and obedience was the catalyst for national revival. National revival began with a personal revival in Josiah’s life. The same is true in our lives today.
It was the simple power of one person walking in obedience to God’s revealed will through his Word, resulting in national revival and transformation. Josiah still speaks to us today. One person whether young or old who is totally sold out and committed to obeying God’s word can become the catalyst for change and transformation.
Will you be like Josiah today and become the one in your school, in your work place, in your home, in your community and in our country? Will you be the one for God to use in your circumstances to bring about change?
It takes only one. Will you be the one?
In closing we sadly announce the passing of Clive Grosset, Mrs. Grace Leslie (Nee Whittle) and Howard Ebanks, former ISCFer and UCCFers from the eighties and nineties over the summer months. They served well in their spheres of influence, they were the ones in their time and situation. Will you consider their acts of service to us all and chose to be the one that God will use today?
