We're a Student Movement

We are not an organization that has a large number of paid professionals doing the work of the ministry. Rather our staff and volunteers function as trainers and equippers.

As a fellowship we fall within a branch of Christianity that has been labelled "Evangelical". In other words we have a strong commitment to the gospel and we hold to the following beliefs:

Coincidence or Providence?

The unplanned landing of a commercial plane in Jamaica for repairs in 1944 gave Mr. C. Stacey Woods, the General Secretary of the Canadian IVCF the opportunity to scout Kingston and realize and respond to a request from Christian educators and church leaders for a Christian union in schools.

The SCFSU is primarily a volunteer movement. Much of the work is carried out by graduates or other concerned individuals who believe in the importance of students ministry.
