ISCF Going Forward

We pause to reflect on the past sixty years and give God thanks for his faithfulness and for the persons who have gone before. We note the pioneering work of Cathy Nichols and Richard (Dickie) Bell, the consolidation and involvement of Dr .Alfred Sangster and Barry Wade, Gene Denham, Grace Russell, Lorence Brown our present board chairman and staff like Margaret Goodison and Cynthia Curtis who have served for over fifteen years or more.
I reflect on God's goodness and provision. It is significant that with sadness we note the passing of Barbara Lyle-Harper, one of our earliest ISCFer and IVCFer, and Amal Clarke, Munro student and ISCF president, at the time of their passing. These are lives that have impacted their marketplace significantly, one for decades, the other for seventeen years, but what a legacy they leave behind.
Reaching students for Christ through students and facilitating these transformed students changing the market place remains our fundamental paradigm in going forward. The movement’s core pillars of discipleship, evangelism and missions, and leadership training will be strengthened and energized creatively to deal with the current threats to our faith in a post modern world. There will be a renewed thrust and emphasis on prayer and bible study going forward using programs like the E100 challenge.
